Overview
Sudoku is a puzzle game, developed by Overplay and published by Tec Toy, only in Brazil. It was released as a built-in game on several Sega Master System and Sega Mega Drive models released in the country. It also was released in PAL regions by AtGames through the Brain Games Colour handheld, albeit without an English localization.
Common to the 2000s, the game is an adaptation of Sudoku for the Master System, although it does not have a license from Nikoli to use the name Sudoku. In it, the player must guess numbers in nine 3x3 squares, filled with numbers 1 through 9. However, the player must not repeat the numbers if they are already available in a 3x3 square, including other 3x3 squares that is matching the repeated number in horizontal and vertical rows.
When it comes to Options, the player can select the level of difficulty from 1 to 5. The bigger the difficulty, less predefined numbers does appear in the 3x3 squares. The player can also enables a timer to solve it for speedrunning purposes.
