Overview
Air-Strike is a fixed-position shoot ’em up in which the player controls a rotating gun turret located at the bottom center of the screen. Using the mouse to adjust the turret’s firing angle, the player shoots approaching aircraft and descending parachutists before they can reach the ground. Enemies include several types of planes and helicopters, some dropping paratroopers or bombs and others delivering power-ups.
The game features six selectable weapons—machine gun, double machine gun, laser, flame thrower, grenade launcher, and homing missiles—which can be acquired or cycled during play. Four different scenario backgrounds are included: rolling hills, a fiery underworld, snowy mountains, and a lunar surface. The game contains four levels and displays blood effects when enemies are hit. Prompts are available in multiple languages, including French, German, Spanish, and Esperanto.
