Overview
APBA Pro Hockey is a computer hockey simulation based on the APBA hockey board game. The player controls a professional hockey team and plays games that follow standard ice hockey rules within a league structure that includes standings and playoffs.
The game is controlled through menus and play-by-play text. Before and during games, the player selects lineups, manages substitutions, and adjusts tactical settings. Play advances as the simulation resolves each sequence, tracking puck location, time, penalties, scoring, and other events.
Between games, the simulation records team and player statistics and updates league standings. Progression through a season continues until the schedule is completed and playoff rounds are played.
