Plan B: Escape Earth

Overview

Do we have a Plan B?

Months ago, Earth's planetary defenses detected a large swarm of objects racing past Neptune on an apparent trajectory toward Earth. Asteroids? Comets? People and politicians around the globe argued, but the military knew what was coming...

This was an Alien Invasion!

Using what they learned from secretly shot down UFOs, the scientists developed amazing new weapons. The military rolled out its shiny new machines and launched intercept rockets armed with new, powerful energy weapons. Enough to destroy anything in their path... Or, so they believed.

The attack failed. It was time for Plan B:

The military deployed its best defenses, erecting force fields over every major metropolitan area. They placed air defense tanks in every city, and, just in case, escape rockets that could save just a handful of the very lucky. Some will have to stay behind to defend the city long enough for humanity to have any chance of surviving.

Will you be the hero and help humanity ESCAPE EARTH?

Gameplay

Thank you for volunteering. You will be quickly trained and assigned to a Mobile Armored Rail Gun (MARG). Your MARG is loaded with 60 high explosive surface to Air missiles. It is well armored but can only survive four direct hits.

The MARG can tow an Energy Containment Module (ECM). Raise these up to the City Defense Shield to repair holes in the force field. Note that releasing all that energy can cause ripple effects. It's not fully untested, but maybe this can add to your fighting power somehow?

Your job is to hold out long enough for at least five people to escape the city and climb aboard the awaiting Escape ship.

Be warned that the City can only sustain eight hits before the radiation is too high and the ship must take off. If your MARG is destroyed, the ship is defenseless and will also leave. Save as many citizens as you can.
