African Safari

Overview

The player takes on the role of a traveller searching for a lost city. The game board is filled with letters of the alphabet, some of which are highlighted in yellow. You can move around the board in any direction and must head for the places marked in yellow. One of these places is the lost city, and once you find it, you move on to the next level. Each letter on the board denotes a specific location and related actions, e.g. G may be a desert where you lose water, K may be a village where you can replenish your strength, water and ammunition, etc. In each new game, the locations for the letters are assigned randomly. At the bottom of the screen, you can see your strength, water, ammunition, and gold statistics. Ammunition is necessary to defeat hostile animals and bandits, and when you run out of it, you will lose strength. By pressing the fire button, you can increase your strength at the expense of your water supply. The game ends if you completely lose your strength or water.
