Overview
Baseball is a computerized adaptation of the sport of baseball in which two opposing teams compete over a full game divided into innings. One team is controlled by the player and the other by the computer, with both sides taking turns batting and fielding according to standard baseball structure.
The game is entirely text-based and played through numeric menu selections. At the start of the game, a coin toss determines the home team. During defensive play, the player selects the type of pitch thrown by the pitcher from a numbered list representing different pitch styles. When batting, the player chooses between several possible actions, including taking a pitch, swinging, bunting, or attempting a steal when a runner is on base.
Each selection produces a textual description of the outcome, such as hits, outs, or changes to base runners. The game tracks balls, strikes, outs, and runs, and updates the scoreboard after each half-inning. Play continues through successive innings following standard baseball flow.
