Overview
Batter Up is a baseball-themed educational game in which players compete to score runs by successfully solving arithmetic problems during their turns at bat. Each player represents a batter progressing around the bases as the game advances through a set number of at-bats.
The game is played in turns by one to four players. During each at-bat, the active player is presented with math problems that must be answered by typing numeric responses. Correct answers determine how far the batter advances around the diamond, while mistakes limit progress. Different types of arithmetic, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and conversions, can be selected, with difficulty levels assigned individually to each player.
Results of each turn are reflected on a baseball field display and updated scoreboard showing runs and base runners. After all players have completed their allotted at-bats, the winner is determined by the total number of runs scored, with tie-breaking rules applied when necessary.
