Battle Beyond

Battle Beyond is a real-time space shooter with strategic elements. Set in a distant future where Earth has been devastated by a toxic alien chemical released after the catastrophic failure of an experimental spacecraft, humanity has fled into space and formed an alliance of survivors, while those infected on Earth have become hostile and technologically aggressive. As a pilot for the Alliance, the player is tasked with defending humanity by confronting hostile forces across space sectors beyond Earth.

The player pilots a starship through a grid-based representation of space, with each sector divided into smaller sub-sectors containing enemy ships, mines, and other hazards. Movement and combat are handled entirely via keyboard controls, with the player steering the ship, adjusting speed, and firing missiles while avoiding collisions.
