Overview
Battle Fire is a top-down arcade shooter set during World War I. The game places the player in the role of a military pilot engaged in aerial combat against enemy aircraft, with the action unfolding across a series of scrolling battlefields representing air engagements of the period.
The player controls an aircraft viewed from a top-down perspective in vertically scrolling stages. Enemy planes enter the screen from above and attack using direct fire patterns. The player must maneuver to avoid incoming shots while firing continuously to destroy enemy aircraft.
Each destroyed enemy awards points, and some enemies release collectible power-ups that grant bonuses such as score increases or weapon upgrades. The player’s aircraft has a health bar; when it is depleted, the plane is destroyed and immediately respawns. The game continues until all available lives are lost, resulting in a game over.
Battle Fire supports a two-player cooperative mode, allowing a second player to join the action at any point during gameplay. Both players share the same scrolling playfield and face enemy formations simultaneously.
