The Pit: Arcade

An arcade action game in which the player controls an astronaut-explorer on an alien planet. The goal of the game is to reach the bottom of the mine and collect at least one large gem, then return to the spaceship through the upper mine. The game begins with the player's spaceship landing in the upper left corner, and enemy tanks and monsters appearing in the upper right corner. The player must dig underground tunnels while avoiding monsters and falling rocks. When the player reaches the bottom of the pit with the gems, arrows will start falling. The terrain is laid out in such a way that the player must always return through the upper pit filled with acid. Upon entering the upper pit, the orange platform will begin to shrink, so you must hurry. The tank in the upper right corner essentially acts as a timer, shooting through the top, and if it breaks through, it will destroy the ship and the player will lose a life.
