Spooksville

Many centuries ago, the All-Powerful Spellbook was stolen from the Great Magician by Count Dracula. Since then, it has laid deep in the darkness of Spooksville, the notorious town where all manners of evil creatures roam. The Spellbook's magic can only be used every 500 years, and it's only weeks before this time arrives. As Gaston the Intrepid and Famous Adventurer, the player must enter Spooksville, defeat the evil creatures within, and recover the magic book.

Gaston can move laterally, jump, climb ropes and ladders, and can also shoot magic spells in a total of eight directions. As Gaston moves between rooms, he can gather a number of items to help him on his quest, holding up to three items at a time. The ring and scroll will also help the player if located. Large bosses require special items to destroy, and some items must be used to solve specific puzzles. The player starts with 100 health points, and these are lost when encountering enemies.
