ArkX

Overview

ArkX is a straight Breakout variant. The player controls a paddle which is confined to the bottom of the screen and can move left or right. it is used to bounce a ball towards the blocks positioned all over the playing area. The goal is to destroy all blocks by hitting them with the ball - but failing to reach it with the paddle and letting it fall down the screen causes the loss of life en energy. Sometimes destroyed blocks leave behind power-ups which can be collected for beneficial temporary effects, e.g. the ball is glued to the paddle instead of bouncing off directly or additional balls. However, there are also negative effects such as inverted controls or invisible balls. Negative power-ups are applied directly, but one positive one can be stored for later usage. There are 40 levels which also include boss battles.

Instead of points, the player earns money while playing the 40 levels (including some boss battles) which can be spent in the in-game shop. One of the available purchases is the multiplayer modes which is reminiscent of Pong: the paddles are positioned on the screen's edges and participants score by bouncing the ball behind the other players' paddles. There are three multiplayer-exclusive power-ups which negatively effect the opponents.
