Marvel Cosmic Invasion

Marvel Cosmic Invasion is a side-scrolling beat 'em up featuring cooperative play, tag-team mechanics, and a roster of Marvel heroes. The game draws inspiration from classic arcade brawlers and the Marvel vs. Capcom fighting series. Players control two characters per match and can switch between them or call the inactive partner for assists, creating layered combat options that combine unique move sets, special attacks, and defensive abilities. Up to four players can participate simultaneously, with each player managing a two-hero team. Characters level up through repeated use, unlocking improvements and encouraging experimentation with combinations and playstyles.

The game's narrative centers on a large-scale cosmic threat led by Annihilus and his Annihilation Wave. The story unfolds across a series of stages themed around familiar Marvel locations such as New York City, Wakanda, Genosha, and more distant settings like Fort Galactus. The campaign consists of multiple linear stages with occasional branching paths. Each stage contains optional challenges, some character-specific and others environment-based, and a collectible item. There are environmental hazards and boss encounters.

A roster of 15 playable characters includes widely recognized heroes alongside lesser-known cosmic figures: Beta Ray Bill, Black Panther, Captain America, Cosmic Ghost Rider, Iron Man, Nova, Phoenix, Phyla-Vell, Rocket Raccoon, She-Hulk, Silver Surfer, Spider-Man, Storm, Venom, and Wolverine. Each character features distinct movement abilities, attack patterns, and mechanics, such as projectile behavior, melee focus, mobility options, or flight. Some characters can dodge, block, or parry, while others rely on raw offense. Boss fights occasionally preview future playable characters.

Cosmetic unlocks, lore entries, audio tracks, and additional palettes can be acquired using in-game currency. A supplementary hub area allows players to review character progress, enemy data, and optional lore.
