Richman 2

Overview

Richman 2 is a Chinese strategy-based board game released by Softstar Entertainment in 1993, serving as the second installment in the Richman series. Compared to its predecessor, Richman 2 featured significant upgrades in both graphics and gameplay. It utilized VGA 256-color graphics, delivering a much more vibrant visual experience. Furthermore, the introduction of mouse support greatly enhanced the overall player experience.

While retaining the core mechanics of traditional board games—where players move across the map by rolling dice, purchase land and property, and accumulate wealth through rent and other income—the game also introduced various item cards and the "Deity Possession" system. Cards such as the "Equal Wealth Card" and "Monster Card" brought diverse strategic depth and unpredictability. The Deity Possession system allowed characters to gain temporary special abilities, adding layers of fun and challenge to the game.
