Scrylis

Overview

It is a Spanish game that supports CGA and VGA, similar to the one on the Super Scrylis website by Topo Soft, but by Goldy Games and released on the disc attached to the 9th issue of the Spanish magazine PC Mania.

The game is clearly inspired by the Rubik's Cube and similar puzzles. We have two rings with faces made of squares of different colors, and by shifting the edges of the lower body, it needs to be "remade" in the same way as the upper one - and time passes, lowering bonus points and threatening to take away "lives" to the measured biper ticking.

Control - rotate the entire "assembly" around the center "one step" with the cursors left and right, up and down - turn the segment of the lower body facing the player "across the bagel"; Shift rotates the "ring" of these faces to the left and right, respectively, Alt and Ctrl rotate the upper body. The Q, A, O, P keys simply rotate the player's point of view "in three dimensions" (and in CGA mode, X switches the palette). Like any "rubicoid", it is addictive, but, fortunately, at the start you can choose a level from the first to the "current".

In general, it is a great pastime for lovers of casual puzzles: "outwardly simple, but tasteful".
