Mega Man: The Wily Wars: Mega Hack

Here is a “mega” hack that includes the best features released over the past few years plus a few that worked on the PAL version exclusively. IPSPeek was helpful to isolate the ability to slide in MM1&2 and having 5 buster shots on screen from the old patches. The previous weapon restock patches dont always work properly. Use Retro-Bit if playing on real hardware because of slowdown fixes and Genesis Mini if playing on emulation (with cpu overclocking enabled to reduce slowdown). Try the MD+ soundtrack by MET for the “Mega” experience!

This hack includes the following features:

* Enemy invulnerability time has been all but eliminated

* Improves Buster Fire Speed

* The Buster and some boss weapons can be fired more rapidly

* Mega Man pulls his Buster back a little sooner after firing

* Mega Man can have 5 bullets on screen at once, instead of 3

* Adds the Slide to Mega Man 1 and 2

* Refill weapon energy after death

* Redraws all of Proto Man’s sprites

* Optional Mega Hack MD+ patches

* Optional Weapon Master patch that has been edited to work on any version of the game and a few of the glitches fixed (be careful still of switching weapons when entering the level and boss rooms or when battling the copy robot)

* Optional retranslated Wily Tower text
