Overview
Real is a rare cigarette-themed cocktail-style pinball machine released in May 1978 by Game Plan, Inc.. It belongs to a specific family of interchangeable cocktail tables (Model 110) that shared identical playfield layouts but featured different themed artwork.
The table features two flippers and a standard set of targets typical of early solid-state cocktail games. Unlike upright machines with a backbox, cocktail games like Real typically house their score displays beneath the playfield glass in the apron area, allowing players to see their score without looking away from the action.
Real was part of a production strategy where Game Plan sold a single base model with interchangeable playfields under various names, including Black Velvet, Rio, Camel Lights, Chuck-a-Luck, and Foxy Lady.
