Axis

Overview

The game was created using the TRSE development tool based on Bery's (Zsolt Bertók) work of the same name for Videoton TV Computer.

Axis is an "escape" game where our protagonist cannot hit or shoot, only run. The story can be read at the beginning of the game. The point is: we have to escape from aliens and get out through the exit door (two red arrows pointing down). To do this, we need to pick up key cards (red and green) to open the doors of the corresponding color. The aliens are faster than the protagonist, and if they sense/see us (even through walls!) they will immediately rush towards us (attack). So caution, patience, and skill will be needed to avoid them.

The game measures the time spent on the track (so it doesn't go between tracks, you can safely leave the machine between two tracks).

There are 10 sectors, at the end of the 10th the protagonist gets out, and we can admire the end sequence and take pictures of the time that has passed :)

During the game, you can switch to faster speed by pressing the '+' key, but the aliens will also be faster. You can switch back to the original speed by pressing the '-' key.

The M key can be used to turn the music on/off.

The game is controlled with the WASD keys and the joystick plugged into port 2. The door is opened with the 'SPACE' key, or the fire button on the joy.
