Released in April 1962 by D. Gottlieb & Co., Tropic Isle is a classic one-player electro-mechanical pinball machine known for its tropical theme and backglass. Designed by legendary game designer Wayne Neyens with artwork by Roy Parker, 2,700 units were produced.
The game features colorful, stylized island scenes and playful monkeys. The backglass is particularly noted for its "monkey climb" animation, where three back-lighted monkeys appear to climb a palm tree, serving as the main indicator for reaching special scoring milestones.
