Pet Factory

This an original puzzle game and so has an original game design and original graphics. This is an educational game where you can learn about what sort of creatures that can be genetically engineered (shown as one of the four endings e.g. a wooly mouse). You can also learn about the time line of evolution of animals through history.

The game is set in the far future where genetics has advanced to the point where a machine can create a pet from DNA stored in test tubes. Test tubes are dyed different colors, as is usual, to distinguish them if needs be. You are either presented with 64 or 256 test tubes. The game is a puzzle game. The goal of the game is to find the correct DNA test tubes and to continually evolve the creature and hence evolve as many pets as possible in the time limit. The "DNA TO PET MACHINE" will ask you for 5 test tubes to find. Move the hand cursor over the test tubes to find then then press the button to select the 5 test tubes. The "DNA TO PET MACHINE" works by taking the five correctly chosen test tubes of DNA at a time, it will evolve a prototype pet (abbreviated to as a "PROTO' PET" in the game) and the "DNA TO PET MACHINE" will show the length of the DNA of that "PROTO' PET") at bottom of screen. The machine will keep evolving this pet (to get 8 different prototype pets) using the correctly chosen DNA test tubes ,at each evolution the DNA gets longer and the pet life form more complex or "more modern" in terms of biology, after the 8 pets have been evolved, by you correctly selecting the correct DNA test tubes, a final pet (suitable for sale in a pet shop) is evolved. Each of the 8 animals correspond to how animals have evolved in history.
