Star Revenge 1.3: Redone

Overview

Star Revenge 1.3: Star Revenge Redone (formerly known as Star Revenge Redone) is a major ROM hack made by BroDute released on February 2013 with a total of 105 Stars. It is the first official update created over the original Star Revenge 1: Star Takeover, which featured a more complete graphic overhaul and improved level assets.

Incidentally, Star Revenge Redone was the first hack of the series to have a proper ending, since the former does not have one. Once the player has collected all 100 Stars, it will get a password to open a zip file with two folders bundled inside. One is the credits, and the other one is a letter from Bowser inviting Mario to fight him in his hexagon world. This allows Mario to ultimately face Bowser in the climax and beat the game (though this part was voided and reworked on the final revision).

On June 2013, it received its second revision [v1.3], which gave the hack extra small changes such as in-game cosmetics. Then finally, on September 2022, its third and final revision [v1.3 2.0], which adds on this version the more modern QoL tweaks and the final Star Count to 111.
