Overview
A vertical-scrolling shooter set during the Second World War. The player takes on the role of a P-38 pilot and takes part in a crucial battle against the Japanese battleship ‘Yamato’. The game draws inspiration from historical events, specifically the Battle of Midway, which marked a turning point in the Pacific. The gameplay involves navigating a sky filled with anti-aircraft fire, requiring players to shoot down enemy aircraft and collect POW symbols that grant access to secret weapons, boosting the player’s firepower and providing a strategic advantage. Players have access to a limited number of special bombs that can clear the screen of enemy units, offering a tactical advantage in difficult situations. Additionally, the roll manoeuvre allows the aircraft to avoid destruction.
