International Superstars Soccer Clubs

Overview

The International Superstar Soccer Clubs series is a special project conceived by Pedro Ribeiro of the Falcon Brasil Team, which pays true homage to the legendary classic International Superstar Soccer game on the Super Nintendo, imagining how Konami could have expanded the original concept while maintaining its essence, but replacing the national teams with clubs representing each country.

The proposal stems from a simple yet bold idea: to follow the exact same mold as the original ISS — gameplay, visual style, identity, and atmosphere — but replacing the national teams of the time with the best clubs from each nation, respecting the historical context of 1990s football. The result is a nostalgic, yet unprecedented experience that feels like something "official" that could perfectly well have been released in the 16-bit era.
