“Super Metroid: Fix Collection Patch” is a purist-friendly bugfix patch that addresses various flaws and inconveniences in Super Metroid.
Over the years, numerous fixes were developed and included in larger projects, such as “Super Metroid Redux” and “Project Base”. These projects are masterpieces when it comes to ROM hacks, but they also make substantial changes to the game that may not appeal to some players.
The aim of this patch is to isolate some of these fixes and provide them in a single collection, creating the cleanest possible vanilla Super Metroid experience while preserving the original game design, controls, mechanics, balance, and intended feel.
