Taiko no Tatsujin 14

Overview

Taiko no Tatsujin 14 is the fourteen arcade Taiko no Tatsujin game released on September 8, 2010.

Being released in 2010, it is the last Taiko no Tatsujin arcade game which uses the Namco System 246.

There were new changes to the 14th release, If the player got a Full Combo on a song, flowers and a drapery will appear spelling "Full Combo!".

There was also a new type of fever character that would appear when the player has a full gauge, just for Taiko no Tatsujin 14. They also appeared on the Wii U, and the newer arcade versions.

A new scoring system was added called the "Shin-uchi Mode", It can only be unlocked by hitting the edge of the Taiko 10 times once coins are inserted. Shin-uchi Mode calculates score based on accuracy instead of combos. However, when using Shin-uchi Mode, high-scores were not recorded.
