Overview
The game was built using the Adventure Game Studio (AGS) engine as an entry for Reality-on-the-Norm (RON)—a famous collaborative open-source universe where indie developers all made point-and-click adventure games sharing the same fictional, weird town, characters, and assets.
Plot: Pete Bailey, the local postman, has been brutally murdered. The local authorities have pinned the blame on a literal resident zombie named Michael Gower.
Gameplay: Players control Max Griff, the town’s number-one (and only) private investigator. Alongside a local news reporter named Mika Huy, you must navigate a highly comical detective mystery to interview quirky suspects, search crime scenes, and unearth the real killer. The puzzle solutions involve bizarre items like Mah Jong boards, vats of acid, and donuts.
True to its 2001 AGS roots, it runs in a retro 320x200 resolution using a classic 8-bit, 256-color point-and-click UI interface.
