Overview
Homepin's Thunderbirds pinball machine, released in 2018, is a wide-body pinball table based on the iconic 1960s British Gerry Anderson puppet science-fiction television series.
It is the first major branded release from Homepin, an Australian-owned company that took the unconventional route of building its own dedicated manufacturing facility in Shenzhen, China. Designed by Mike Kalinowski, the machine aimed to deliver an accessible, reliable, and easily maintainable option for casual owners and operators.
The table is equipped with 2 flippers, 3 ramps, 3 pop bumpers, 3 drop targets, and features a fully operational slow-sliding swimming pool launcher that mimics Thunderbird 1 launching from beneath the structure.
Despite the passion behind its creation, the machine received a largely negative reception within the pinball hobbyist online community, frequently being cited as the "worst pinball machine of all time".
