3D Maze (Andy Armstrong)

Overview

The player’s task is to find their way out of a randomly generated maze within 120 seconds. Whilst navigating the corridors, the player may come across cages which will trap them if they enter them. You can destroy a cage by standing directly next to it and pressing the [B] key. You have only 3 attempts per maze, but you can increase this number by collecting 1, 3, 5 or 7 gold bars. You can bring up the maze map at any time by pressing the [H] key; this does not pause the clock. In the first maze, there is only one gold bar. Once you have collected it and reached the exit, a new maze will be generated with two gold bars, then three, and so on. The number of gold bars in subsequent mazes only increases if all of them are collected in the current level. If you fail to reach the exit within the allotted time, you continue the game with the same number of bars, but in a new maze.
