Culdcept

Culdcept is a unique hybrid of:

Monopoly-style board control

Magic: The Gathering-style card battles

Traditional turn-based strategy

The goal is to move around a board, acquire territories, summon creatures onto spaces, and force opponents to pay tolls when they land on your areas.

Players are known as Cepters, magical users who fight using decks of cards called Books.

Each match consists of players taking turns:

Roll dice and move around the map.

Claim empty territories.

Summon creatures to defend owned spaces.

Cast spells to manipulate the board.

Battle opponents when they land on occupied territories.

Upgrade territories to increase toll costs.

Victory is usually achieved by reaching a required amount of magic (G) and returning to the castle/goal space.
