Overview
For every arcade rat who poured quarters into Data East's legendary RoboCop cabinet, hearing that explosive FM synthesized audio and seeing Murphy on the big screen, a proper Genesis port was the ultimate dream. While 8-bit systems got their really disappointing conversions, the SEGA Mega Drive, the premier 16-bit machine built for fast-paced arcade action, was criminally left behind.
RoboCop MD exists to fix this history.
This project is built from the ground up to feel like a real 16-bit cartridge release from 1990. Heavy FM synth, punchy arcade action, crisp pixel art, and authentic Mega Drive performance. It’s designed to be the exact game you wished you could have brought home for Christmas '90 or '91 to plug straight into your Model 1 "High Definition Graphics" console.
