San Guo Zhi: Cao Cao Zhuan

Cao Cao Zhuan is the first game in Nanjing's San Guo Zhi trilogy. The game is an original RPG, but its mechanics are based on Capcom's Destiny of the Emporer games. Also, like Destiny of the Emporer, the game's storyline is based on the classic Chinese novel Romance of the Three Kingdom. In the game the player plays as Cao Cao.

The game was followed by two sequels that used improved versions of its engine, San Guo Zhi: Lu Bu Zhuan, and Tun Shi Tian Di 6: Liu Bei Zhuan.
