This ISS 26 ROM is an edit based on ARG98, designed as a comprehensive update reflecting modern football. The project was made possible—once again—thanks to Apioman's excellent editor, a key tool for modifying much of the game's content.

However, there is a significant limitation: the menu tilemap could not be located, preventing it from being fully edited. Consequently, the menu could not be adapted into English (as a universal language); this task remains pending for the future.

The ROM features currently prominent teams with updated squads and correctly assigned player numbers. Since the game supports a maximum of 20 jersey numbers, adjustments were necessary for players whose numbers exceeded this limit, ensuring consistency within the ROM's constraints.

The "All Stars" section has been intentionally disabled. Flags, statistics, and names were removed, causing the game to crash if one attempts to access the mode via the cheat code. Users are advised not to activate All-Star mode; this decision was made to free up resources (sprites) and allow for better editing of team crests.

Player statistics were imported from pesretrostats.com to ensure a balanced and realistic in-game experience.

Regarding visual edits, classic hairstyles were modified to suit modern players. For instance, Roberto Baggio's palette was adjusted to recreate Erling Haaland, and styles like Ravanelli's were repurposed to represent Lamine Yamal, among other players sharing similar hairstyles or cuts.
