Overview
Despite the name literally translating to "Pocket Gems: Blue", this is actually an unofficial packport of Pokemon Sapphire.
After making several original RPGs, Kou Dai Bao Shi: Lan was Nanjing's first big success, and it served as a blueprint for most of their future games: take a popular media property, be it a game, novel, movie, or television show, and adapt the story into their RPG engine.
Due to the game's success, Nanjing made several more Pokemon games that were just minor hacks of this game.
