Bee-Fore the Storm

Bee-Fore the Storm is a retro mashup featuring shmup, platformer, arcade shooter, and light simulation genres, all wrapped up for the Game Boy! It features easy-to-pick-up, top-down gameplay, a sprinkling of side-scrolling areas, mixed together with a light colony-management simulation where you decide how you'll spend each day and night. If you accumulate too much pollen, you'll never make it, so keep yourself and your nest clean. Forage outside for nectar so you don't starve, if there's even any nectar left to find. Rebuild your nest completely, or it won't withstand the storm a second time. Spread over only a week of in-game time for a sweet, replayable package, you can make it through the story mode in about 20 minutes, with bonus modes and rewards unlockable for the post-game. Remember.. you must survive...

- Endure random events some days (and nights!), like worse weather or food spoiling, that can throw a wrench in your survival plans.

- Let the mysterious seed continue to change you by choosing upgrades that will help improve your chances in different ways.

- Respond to SOS signals and rescue stranded bees that haven't succumbed to the pollen yet, letting them rest and eat back at your nest.

- Unlock bonus arcade modes that reward completion with risque pinup photos of rescued drones~
