Overview
Bubu Chuang Tong Guan is an action game similar to Bomberman. It stars a green octopus traveling through a series of themed worlds filled with hostile creatures and obstacles. Each world consists of multiple stages in which the octopus searches for a hidden key that reveals the route to the exit. Progressing through every stage leads to a boss encounter before advancing to the next world.
Players guide the octopus through maze-like stages, placing small black octopi that function as bombs. Their explosions defeat enemies, destroy breakable rocks, and uncover hidden items. The key required to complete each stage is concealed beneath destructible terrain. After finding it, a skull marker appears elsewhere in the level; destroying it reveals the exit door. The game is divided into themed worlds, each ending with a boss battle.
