Pokémon SoulGold

Pokemon SoulGold is a Johto-focused GBA ROM hack that expands the traditional Pokemon adventure with content and mechanics from across the wider series.

The main story follows the familiar Pokemon formula of exploring the region, catching and training Pokemon, earning Gym Badges and challenging the Pokemon League. However, SoulGold adds considerably more content around that foundation.

Players can explore an expanded version of Johto featuring new environments, select from nine starter Pokemon, search for daily Hidden Grottos, collect more than 100 trophies and participate in battle facilities containing Pokemon from every generation.

The postgame introduces additional progression through the ability system, while optional settings allow players to customize many parts of their adventure.
