Overview
Spirit of '76 (Gottlieb, 1975) is an iconic electro-mechanical pinball machine, designed to celebrate the upcoming U.S. Bicentennial. With a production run of 10,569 units, the machine was a big commercial success. The game was designed by the legendary Ed Krynski, featuring distinct patriotic artwork by Gordon Morison that prominently incorporates American history alongside space exploration (including John Glenn, Apollo spacecraft, and minutemen).
The recreation for Future Pinball was made by Popette, and SLAMT1LT's ULTRA Edition gives bckground music options not present in the original game, including James Brown's 1985 pop hit "Living in America" during the table's attract mode.
