Overview
Cool Spot 7 Up is a re-theme of Cosmic Princess (Stern, 1979) for Visual Pinball X, inspired by the 1993 platform game Cool Spot, featuring Spot, a mascot for the soft drink brand 7 Up. Spot's appearance in his own video game came at a time when other brand mascots (like Chester Cheetah and the Noid) were appearing in their own video games, but unlike many of these other games, Cool Spot was critically and commercially successful, selling over a million copies.
