Official Xbox Magazine: Volume 40: January 2005

Official Xbox Magazine (OXM) Demo Disc #40 was released alongside Issue 40 of the magazine in January 2005 (bearing the cover date of February 2005). Kickstarting the 2005 lineup, the disc featured interactive playable game demos across action, strategy, and sports genres:

MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf (mech action/combat)

Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction (open-world action)

Full Spectrum Warrior (tactical squad-based action)

Blinx 2: Masters of Time & Space (action-platformer)

NFL Street 2 (arcade football)

In addition to interactive gameplay, the disc provided downloadable content (DLC) saves and extra media features. Video features included early previews for Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Brother in Arms: Road to Hill 30, and Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict, along with OXM's monthly Top Plays segment.
