Official Xbox Magazine: Volume 56: April 2006

Official Xbox Magazine (OXM) Demo Disc #56 was released alongside Issue 56 of the magazine in March 2006 (bearing the cover date of April 2006). Continuing the hybrid model of the mid-2006 transition, the US/North American disc featured interactive playable original Xbox game demos across tactical sci-fi shooters, arcade sports, action RPGs, and fighting games:

Commandos Strike Force (first-person WWII tactical shooter)

X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse (action-RPG mutant squad brawler)

Fight Night Round 3 (boxing simulation)

Major League Baseball 2K6 (baseball simulation)

In addition to interactive gameplay, the hybrid disc included offline backward-compatibility emulation updates for Xbox 360 owners, DLC game saves, and media features. Video highlights featured high-definition 720p/1080i previews, developer walk-throughs, and trailers for incoming Xbox 360 hits like The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Tomb Raider: Legend, and Prey, alongside OXM's monthly Top Plays segment.
