Official Xbox Magazine: Volume 58: June 2006

Official Xbox Magazine (OXM) Demo Disc #58 was released alongside Issue 58 of the magazine in May 2006 (bearing the cover date of June 2006). Arriving right during the height of the summer gaming hype, the US/North American disc featured interactive playable original Xbox game demos across tactical sci-fi combat, arcade urban racing, action-adventure, and sports:

Rogue Trooper (tactical third-person sci-fi shooter based on the 2000 AD comic)

Urban Chaos: Riot Response (first-person tactical arcade shooter)

Tomb Raider: Legend (action-adventure series revival)

World Soccer Winning Eleven 9 (tactical soccer simulation)

In addition to interactive gameplay, the hybrid disc included offline backward-compatibility emulation updates for Xbox 360 owners, DLC game saves, and media features. Video highlights featured high-definition 720p/1080i previews and coverage for incoming late-2006 Xbox 360 hits, including early looks at Gears of War, Mass Effect, F.E.A.R., and Splinter Cell: Double Agent (360 version), alongside OXM's monthly Top Plays segment.
