Overview
Official Xbox Magazine (OXM) Demo Disc #79 shipped to subscribers in December 2007 (bearing the cover date of January 2008 for Issue 79). Formatted natively for Xbox 360 hardware, Disc #79 kicked off the new year with high-definition 360 playable game demos, Xbox Live Arcade (XLA) trials, and exclusive media content:
Burnout Paradise (open-world arcade racing and stunt driving)
Conflict: Denied Ops (co-op tactical first-person shooter)
The Club (arcade-style score-attack third-person shooter)
Turok (sci-fi dinosaur action shooter)
Rez HD (Xbox Live Arcade musical arcade shooter)
Chessmaster Live (Xbox Live Arcade digital chess suite)
In addition to interactive gameplay, the native 360 disc delivered custom downloadable dashboard themes and gamerpics, offline backward-compatibility emulation updates, and high-definition 720p/1080i video previews for early 2008 blockbusters—including featurettes for Grand Theft Auto IV, Ninja Gaiden II, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, and Mafia II, alongside OXM's monthly Top Plays segment.
