Overview
Ringer is a rare, upright electromechanical (EM) arcade game developed by Williams Electronics, Inc. and released in 1970. Centered around a horseshoes theme, the game challenges one or two players to use a physical control wheel to pitch virtual horseshoes down a pit. Because of its unique mechanical design and low remaining numbers, it is highly sought after by vintage coin-op collectors.
Players interact with the cabinet by twisting a physical disc or wheel located on the right side of the control panel. Rotating it clockwise or counter-clockwise determines the distance and force of the throw. Spinning it too soft leaves the shoe short; spinning too hard throws it past the stake.
