The year is 2085. The machines have seized power and seek to wipe out humanity once and for all. The player takes on the role of a soldier on the last line of defence for scattered humans trapped in arenas full of hostile machines. The player’s character can fire in all directions, wiping out waves of increasingly dangerous enemies. Standing still means a quick death, and every human saved earns 1,000 extra points. Successive rescue missions are worth more and more, whilst losing a life breaks the chain of bonus points. Some robots hunt down humans to kill them, whilst mind-control robots can turn them into dangerous killing machines. For every 25,000 points, the player is rewarded with an extra life.
