Overview
Comet is the first in a famous trilogy of carnival and amusement-park-themed pinball machines designed by Barry Oursler and released by Williams Electronics between 1985 and 1991. Comet features a classic wooden roller coaster and fairground vibe, and was the first Williams machine to feature a million-point shot. The game was aimed at a wider demographic of players than some other Williams games at the time and was commercially successful, with a production run of 8,100 units.
All three tables in the trilogy (Comet, Cyclone, and Hurricane) have received reskins for Visual Pinball X by Balutito, updating the playfield artwork, plastics and sounds.
