Shinobi (Oldschool Is Beautiful)

The 1987 Sega System 16 arcade Shinobi, brought to the Mega Drive / Genesis.

This is not a remake and not an emulator. The cartridge runs the original arcade 68000 program, kept at its original addresses. Only the parts that talk to the arcade hardware (video, sound, controls) were replaced with native Mega Drive code. The game logic is checked tick by tick against the arcade version over a full playthrough, ending included: enemies, timings, hit boxes and scoring behave as they do in the arcade.
