Scared Stiff: PuP Pack

Scared Stiff is a classic Bally pinball machine released in 1996, known for its campy humor and B-movie horror theme. Serving as the highly anticipated sequel to Elvira and the Party Monsters (Bally, 1989), the game brings back the horror hostess Elvira, played by Cassandra Peterson.

Hawkeyez88's video PuP-Pack for Scared Stiff uses high-definition video clips and audio directly pulled from B-movie horror cinema and Elvira media. As players navigate through the machine's signature "Six Tales of Terror"—such as the Terror From the Crate or The Stiff In the Coffin—the software reads real-time gameplay triggers from the table. The PuP-Pack then instantly responds, playing video clips that match the active modes, high-score achievements, or humorous, innuendo-laden voice lines delivered by Cassandra Peterson's iconic character.

Recreations of Scared Stiff have been developed for Visual Pinball X by Shoopity, Hauntfreaks, Mikcab, and VPinWorkshop, and the PuP-Pack is compatible with each of these tables. There are also nude mods of the playfield available, and an accompanying nude mod of the PuP-Pack, with Elvira pictured topless on the backglass video.
