Overview
Aristocrat Shuffle Alley is a six-player, solid-state bowling arcade game released by Williams Electronics under its United brand in 1979.
The game recreates the experience of ten-pin bowling using a long shuffle alley playfield and a puck that players slide toward simulated bowling pins. Electronic scoring tracks each player's performance, while illuminated displays and sound effects recreate the atmosphere of a bowling alley.
Aristocrat offers five selectable scoring games: Regulation, Flash, Strike 90, 800, and Roto. Each introduces a different scoring challenge, providing alternatives to traditional bowling rules.
Built on Williams' System 3 solid-state hardware, Aristocrat represents the company's late-1970s generation of electronic shuffle alley machines. Its combination of multiplayer competition, electronic sound effects, and multiple scoring modes made it part of Williams' long-running line of coin-operated bowling amusements.
