Overview

Wongo is a 1-player arcade game for multiple systems. It's early morning in China. Everyone has gone home at the Great Wall except for Wongo, the bomb-disposal expert. It's a busy time for Wongo, as factions opposing the Emperor have just invented gunpowder, and have planted bombs along the Great Wall. It's Wongo's job to bounce on his pogo stick along the Wall and defuse bombs. Wongo can move left, right, and jump with his pogo stick. In each stage there's a bomb on the right hand side of the screen that he must reach before time runs out. Dangers include cannon fire, arrows, moving platforms, monsters, and pits. There are a total of 12 screens and three difficulty levels. A new life is awarded every 20,000 points, and a 25,000 point bonus is awarded for completing five stages without losing a life.
