Overview

Alfabet Smierci is an adventure game, developed by Seven Stars and published by Arte, which was released in Europe in 1996.

This is an adventure game with graphics presented in the form of photographs. The action takes place in Deby village and in the surrounding countryside. The game begins with an alarming phone call from a friend who dies in a mysterious accident a while later. The train trip to the hometown results with a strong blow to the back of the head. Tomasz Antkowiak wake up on the Deby railway platform, where the game begins. The main task requires solving a series of occult mysteries leading to the killer of your friend. The character may carry up to an unlimited number of items that can be used and combined. The game screen is divided into inventory/action panel, commentary field and photograph showing the current location. The player may talk with each encountered character, however a special caution is required because the wrong answers may result in death. Traveling is possible by walking through each location or using the plan of the village.
